About Don Leichel – Author Shroud of Turin & Bible Research
Don Leichel was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. After the Second World War, his family returned to the Netherlands, where Don attended secondary school and the Maritime School in Amsterdam. With the required diplomas, including astronomy, he began his career as a helmsman in the Dutch merchant navy.
In the 1960s, Don married and emigrated with his wife to Australia, where he obtained an accounting diploma. Don then worked as an internal auditor in the Australian oil industry.
In the early 1970s, he returned to the Netherlands with his wife and two sons and started a career in the banking sector.
In 1984, Don and his wife moved to New Zealand to meet their eldest son, a qualified farmer. They decided to stay in New Zealand, where Don worked as a senior auditor for the government.
During his retirement years, Don shifted his interest to archaeology, philosophy, and ancient history. Following in his father’s footsteps, he delved into Egyptology and encountered the phenomenon of Moses and the Exodus. Don was able to trace the sign of the birth of Moses from official astronomical tables, leading to an accurate dating of the Exodus. This sparked his interest in the Bible. During his working life, Don had already developed a fondness for numbers, which drew his attention to the intriguing numerical prophecies of Daniel in the Bible.
Through careful analysis, Don discovered that the numbers matched historical and astronomical events around the birth of Jesus. These discoveries led him to publish his non-fiction book The Man Clothed In Linen. The great publicity surrounding the research into the Shroud of Turin prompted Don to start a process of discovery that took him years of in-depth research, during which he applied his earlier findings from The Man Clothed In Linen. The scientific and historical analyses of the Shroud of Turin convinced him of the prophetic and historical connections that converge in the image of the man on the Shroud. This led to his summary of facts about the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin and the prophetic connection with the return of Jesus.
Don’s groundbreaking and unmistakable findings will be presented in his new book entitled Sworn to Secrecy, which will be published in the fourth quarter of 2024.
